The ACN British Asian Changemakers List celebrates British Asian professionals who are shaping the headlines we read, the brands we buy and the conversations that move the nation. It also recognises the less visible work so many of them do: mentoring, opening doors and building community for those coming up behind them.
The inaugural list will recognise 21 leaders, seven in each of three categories:
- Public Relations & Communication
- Marketing
- Media & Journalism
British Asians remain under-represented in these industries. Only 4% of PR and communications directors in England and Wales are Asian, and just 3% of UK journalists identify as Asian or Asian British, while Asian people make up 9.3% of the population. This list aims to make British Asian role models, and the paths they have taken, impossible to miss.
